Red Light is the largest independent music management company in the world. Founded in 1991, they run popular music venues around Charlottesville such as Ting Pavilion and The Southern Cafe and Music Hall. Past performers at RLM venues have included Snoop Dogg, Dave Matthews Band, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, Enrique Iglesias, John Legend, ODESZA, Chris Stapleton, The Strokes, Lainey Wilson, and Phish.

Musictoday, LLC is a privately owned eCommerce marketing agency located in Crozet, Virginia. The company provides musicians with custom one-stop eCommerce solutions, including platform technology, website design, content management, marketing services, product sourcing, fulfillment, and more. Specializing in selling entertainment merchandise, Musictoday serves fans of popular bands, recording artists, sports teams, and other successful consumer brands. In 2023, they surpassed 20 million total orders.

Maayu is a two-fold project, an AI avatar that will serve as an assistant to recruiters and candidates. Maayu for Recruiters will automatically review resumes and conduct initial screening interviews. The goal with Maayu for Recruiters is for Maayu to sit in on one interview conducted between a recruiter and a candidate and for Maayu to handle the next 10 interviews. Maayu for Candidates will use their candidate’s resume to automatically identify, apply, and follow-up on jobs. The goal of Maayu is to build an ecosystem of avatars so that it is possible for the candidate’s avatar to eventually be able to interact with recruiters’ avatars and for the entire initial screening phase to be handled completely asynchronously with more equity and accuracy than current automated systems.
